What is polyurethane foam and what are its advantages?

Polyurethane foam is divided into hard foam and soft foam.

Polyurethane rigid foam is a high polymer formed by high pressure spraying through special equipment mixed with isocyanate and polyether as main raw materials under the action of foaming agent, catalyst, flame retardant and other additives. There are two kinds of polyurethane foam: soft foam and hard foam. The soft bubble has an open cell structure, and the hard bubble has a closed cell structure. Soft bubbles are divided into two types: crust and non-crust.

The main function of polyurethane soft foam is cushioning. Polyurethane soft foam is commonly used in sofa furniture, pillows, cushions, toys, clothing and soundproof linings.
